Wolverhampton Tips: Salvado

Well backed before running no sort of race last time. Given another chance in this low grade.

Salvado ran an absolute stinker last time out at Wolverhampton but the fact he was backed from 9/1 into 4/1 suggests I wasn’t too far off with my analysis.

He’s a horse who shows a lot of speed but that headstrong nature compromised his chances a couple of starts back over a mile at Kempton.

The distance was always likely to stretch his stamina but he had no chance after getting involved in a pace duel with Ferryview Place. The race finishing speed was 95.5% of the overall speed, indicating a pace collapse.

Something was clearly amiss when Salvado trailed in last at Wolverhampton three weeks ago but a drop in trip looks ideal for him.

In Ireland he was mainly campaigned as a sprinter and racing in a 0-55 handicap he’s got enough positives to make him a good bet at 10/1 (Betfred)
