Wolverhampton Tips: Russian Soul
Has a tricky draw to overcome but much improved for Jamie Osborne and returns to his optimal trip.
Russian Soul has a tricky draw to contend with in the 3.55 Wolverhampton but since moving to Jamie Osborne he’s recaptured some of his old sparkle.
At the start of the month he ran an absolute cracker at the track, coming from further back than ideal (from a wide draw) but covering the final 2f, 0.49s quicker than anything else in the field.
In defeat I gave him an adjusted speed rating of 102 and although he’s crept up the ratings since then, he’s still well below his peak rating.
Adam Kirby is an eye-catching booking and a drop to 6f should work in his favour. If he can overcome the tricky draw he should go close.
