Wolverhampton Tips: Kings Heart
Won his last start in this grade and clocked a rapid closing sectional after missing the break last time out.
Wentwell Yesterday and Geraldine are about where they should be in the market after they finished first a third last time out but the fly in the ointment is Kings Heart.
He’s been quite highly tried in his young career, contesting a class 3 handicap on his penultimate start but now he’s back in the right grade. Last time he raced in a class 6 contest he won and that’s where he is again.
Last time out he blew the start at Wolverhampton giving the leaders a five-length head start but he motored home clocking a 23.04s closing sectional, the fastest in the race.
The form of the race has worked out well with the third horse winning since and in absolute terms his sectional is eye-catching. Considering he is a 64-rated juvenile he ran the 184th fastest closing sectional from the last 5872 runners at the track.
Steve Drowne is at Wolverhampton for just one ride before heading to Kempton in the evening and he’s enjoyed a good relationship with Mark Usher in 2016 with 4 wins from 26 rides.
