Wolverhampton Tips: Jolly Red Jeanz
Given too much to do last time but experienced jockey takes over and the blinkers are back on.
Jolly Red Jeanz is a hard horse to win with (2/29) but is holding her form well this winter and can build on her last run.
At Wolverhampton last time, her inexperienced jockey sat too far back during the race. A combination of a wide draw and misjudgement of pace meant the leaders had flown before he got serious.
Jolly Red Jeanz was beaten 5.25 lengths but ran the fastest closing sectional and earned an adjusted speed rating of 47.
She is no world-beater but in the 4.10 Wolverhampton she races off her lowest ever mark of 56. The blinkers are back on and Tony Hamilton takes the ride. Both are positives and it won’t take much improvement to win a race.
