Wolverhampton Tips: Irish Girls Spirit
Easy winner on her last two starts and her speed figures suggest she is about 3 lengths better than her rivals.
The 5.50 Wolverhampton promises to be a good race, despite the low level.
Give Us A Belle and Dream Sika have achieved positive results in hard fought races; both sustaining a strong gallop when lesser horses would have folded.
The fly in the ointment is Irish Girls Spirit. She has a poor draw but the manner of her last two wins suggest she is a class above her rivals and can triumph however the race unfolds.
Paul Midgley’s mare has made all for her last two wins but I don’t think she is a one-dimensional front-runner; she found herself in the lead because she’s so much better than the opposition.
From a wide draw and with plenty of pace in the line-up, Jack Garritty would be well advised to race with more restraint but even if things don’t go to plan Irish Girls Spirit has speed figures that are far superior to her rivals. At 5/2 (Betfred) she is hard to oppose.
