Wolverhampton Tips: Gala Celebration
Not shown much on turf but better on the AW. Has won over 7f on turning track and mark has slipped over the summer.
Gala Celebration has shown precious little on turf this summer and is I know 0/10 on turf but a change in surface could bring about a change in fortune. During the spring he ran some nice races on synthetic surfaces with a win at Lingfield and a promising third at Kempton.
His third place at Kempton came despite pulling his chances away in front. He set an overly strong pace which left him with a finishing speed 96.4% of his average race speed, much slower than par. Despite finishing tired he still placed and earned a fair sectional adjusted speed rating of 69.
At his best on a turning track over 7f, this is actually easier than the races he faced in spring due to his declining mark. He could bounce back at a big price.
