Wolverhampton Tips: Encore D’Or
Is 2/2 at Wolverhampton and can bounce back after below par run on the Fibresand.
The 3.45 Wolverhampton is a cracking sprint for a Monday and it’s two horses from a similair ownership that I like. Royal Birth finished third in this race last year before excelling on turf; he only finished 7th on his reappearance but that was coming off a break and he might step forward this afternoon.
His main rival is Encore D’Or, stabled with Stuart Williams. His record on the all-weather is 11139148 but when racing around a bend it improves to 111314.
Last time he was well beaten at Southwell but didn’t have a great draw and perhaps didn’t like the Fibresand surface. The time before he wasn’t beaten far at Lingfield when not getting the run of the race and the time before that he earning a big speed rating when winning at Chelmsford.
He’s got a tricky draw in stall 10 but he’s 2/2 at Wolverhampton and a big player in this grade.
