At Southwell he got involved in a pace duel with Arabian Flight and didn’t have enough in reserve to fight off the closing Be Royale, eventually going down by a neck. The finishing speed was 97.5% of the average race speed, which is slower than par.
Scott Dixon’s charge is now 8lbs below his last winning mark and he’s finished third four times in this grade in five starts.
Stall 10 could be awkward but he has the early pace to dominate his rivals in this grade and he should gain an overdue victory at 6/1 (Bet365).
