Wolverhampton Tips: Ambitious Boy
Impressive winner last time out, coming from last to first with an impressive 23.2s closing sectional.
Ambitious Boy showed a marked improvement when winning at the track 20 days ago and he should be backed to double up in the 5.10 Wolverhampton.
The 5-year-old has always been a fair handicapper but he was extremely impressive in victory last time out.
Held up off a slow gallop, he stormed home to win by 1.5 lengths, covering the final 2f in a rapid 23.2s whilst everything else was running 25s-plus sectionals.
A step-up in trip is a slight concern but it makes sense to strike whilst he’s in top form. At 4/1 (William Hill) he is a good bet.
