Wolverhampton Tip: You Never Can Tell

Quiet Endeavour is 3/4 on the all-weather and the top-rated horse in the field. However, last time out he finished last of five in a Group 3 contest. I’m always willing to forgive a horse one poor performance but i’m not going to forgive and forget at 13/8.

Deputise and You Never Can Tell are both improvers and the latter catches my eye. He destroyed a moderate field on his all-weather debut last month and he must be rated highly at home as most of his career has been spent tackling (without much success) Listed and Group company.

Last time out at Newcastle he impressed on the clock. He ran a rapid 22.36s closing sectional at Newcastle, quickening off a steady gallop and it compares favourably with Deputise’s 22.27s closing sectional off a similarly steady gallop but over a furlong shorter just 30 minutes later.

You Never Can Tell but with sectionals perhaps we can.
