Wolverhampton Tip: Slowmo

Got behind early when well backed at Southwell. Step-up in trip looks a good decision and this only second start after wind op. Tom Dascombe enjoyed 24% strike rate in all-weather claimers.

Tom Dascombe utilises claiming races to good effect on the all-weather, enjoying a 24% strike-rate (33-137). Albeit not as impressive as Archie Watson’s 100% record (6-6) on the all-weather from a much smaller sample size.

Slowmo is having his first run on the Tapeta having finished third when well backed at Southwell. Racing in rear, he struggled to get into the race and a step-up to 6f looks a good call, especially for a horse who is unexposed at the trip.

This is is second run after wind surgery so there is a good reason for potential improvement and he should get a good tow into the race from stall 2.
