Wolverhampton Tip: Shamshon
Winner over course and distance with a good speed rating last time out. A similar race in store with plenty of early pace on the cards.
Shamshon is capable of winning in this grade when things fall his way, just as they did 23 days ago over course and distance. The leaders set a very strong gallop which allowed Shamshon to finish strongly from off the pace and a wide draw.
He is well drawn in stall 1 but more importantly Richard Kingscote needs to judge the pace correctly as there is a danger they go very hard early, with plenty of pace-setters in the line-up. If Shamshon is able to adopt a stalking role, he can win again.
