Wolverhampton Tip: Rockley Point
Fastest closer by 0.48s last time out and didn't get a clear run when trying to close off a moderate gallop.
Rockley Point has a modest career strike rate of 1/24 but at least that win came on the all-weather where he is 1/14 with seven placed efforts. Clearly not an easy horse to catch right, he was an unlucky loser last time out.
From a wide draw, the 4-year-old suffered trouble in-running when trying to come from the rear in a steadily run race. He went down by a head but deserved more considering he covered the final 2f, 0.48s quicker than the winner, who was better positioned throughout.
Having spent most of his life in the 70s a mark of 67 doesn’t look insurmountable.
