Wolverhampton Tip: Nezar

Wolverhampton Tip: Nezar

Beaten by the draw last time. Races in same grade and looks well handicapped on his best form.

Nezar hasn’t been with Dean Ivory very long, this is just his fourth start for the yard but it seems his new trainer has got to the bottom of him.

Last time out he ran a fine race in defeat at Kempton. Dropped in from a wide draw, he was further back than ideal and the distance he lost at the start of the race ultimately cost him victory.

Nezar finished the race strongly, clocking the fastest closing sectional of the race by 0.32. Unfortunately, he just ran out of track because he would have won in another stride.

In defeat he earned a sectional adjusted rating of 73, usually good enough to win a class 5 handicap, especially for a horse that was once rated in the mid-90s. He is Robert Winston’s only ride of the evening and trainer/jockey enjoy a 14% strike rate together.
