Wolverhampton Tip: Naadirr
Race with questions marks against the entire field but Naadirr has slipped down the handicap and has shown signs of life lately.
The 4.25 Wolverhampton is a funny race because I can only make a case for two horses. Lancelot Du Lac is the class horse in the race but he’s got to lug 9-9 on a track he’s never raced on before - it’s a big ask.
Naadirr was also a smart sprinter in his day and although his best might be behind him the handicapper has given him a chance off 93. Last seen on the all-weather in Dundalk, he ran respectably to finish sixth, only beaten 2.5 lengths in a strong race. He was sent off favourite that day so perhaps he’s about to recapture some of his old sparkle.
