Wolverhampton Tip: Merhoob
Is 4/14 on the all-weather and ran a good speed figure two starts back at Kempton. Has won in this grade before and should stay 7f given how well he closes off a strong pace.
Merhoob is a big price for the 7.15 Wolverhampton and i’m struggling to see why. Yes, he is near the top of his handicap mark but he won off 1lbs lower in September, in this grade. He has a good strike rate of 5/31 and has won over a variety of distances from 5f to 7f.
Two starts back he ran a big speed rating a Kempton, finishing well off a strong pace. He steps up a furlong this evening but that isn’t a big concern given how well he closes. Darragh Keenan takes off a useful 5lbs and price of 20/1+ must be snapped up.
