Wolverhampton Tip: Hot Heels

He's A Laddie looks opposable as favourite especially carrying a penalty. Whereas Hot Heels impressed in defeat last time at Chester in a better race and with a larger speed figure.

He’s A Laddie leads the betting for the 8.20 Wolverhampton and although it’s dangerous to say we’ve seen the best of a one-raced juvenile there wasn’t anything particularly interesting about his win over course and distance. He set a strong pace, ran a solid closing sectional and recorded an ok time for the grade. He should improve as he matures but nothing excited me.

Hot Heels has one more race under his belt but looks a more exciting prospect. For starters he doesn’t have a penalty to carry because he’s not won a race but he was an excellent second to Ocasio Cortez at Chester. The winner is vastly more experienced but Hot Heels went with her and pulled four lengths clear of the third horse and ran a good speed figure.

Track and distance are all fine, Hot Heels made his debut at Wolverhampton, and he is a much better bet than the current favourite.
