Wolverhampton Tip: Goldream

Receives 4lbs from his main rivals and has plenty of high quality back form. Ran well last season without winning and likely to be targeted at early season Group 2/3 sprints.

Connections have found Goldream a good place to start his season and i’m surprised he isn’t a bit shorter. He is the joint top-rated horse in the field and carries 4lbs less than his main rivals Doctor Sardonicus and Double Up.

The main concern is how he’ll be after 174 days away from the track but he’s won twice on his seasonal reappearance and Robert Cowell sounds bullish in the Racing Post about his chances.

Goldream failed to win last season but ran plenty of good races including early on in the year at Newmarket and Haydock. He might be getting on in years now but most of the field are veterans and they aren’t hiding anything from the betting public.
