Wolverhampton Tip: Fast Track
Fastest closer by 0.38s last time, just failing to get to the winner. Previous course and distance winner who will enjoy step up in trip.
Fast Track was a course and distance winner back in January and off a 2lbs lower mark he should go well again, albeit in a higher grade. Last time out he was beaten a neck into second over 5f at Wolverhampton but was unlucky how the race panned out.
The leaders went a steady gallop and Fast Track was forced to come from too far back. Accelerating into a quickening pace over 5f wasn’t ideal for a horse who is better suited to 6f and he just failed to get up despite running a 22.77s sectional.
He was the fastest closer in the race by 0.38s and ran a good speed rating, so the times stack up well on the clock.
