Lingfield Tip: Equally Fast
Keen over 6f on his first start in 242-days. Drops to 5f, his optimum trip and having shown signs of life for his new yard he could make a mockery of his mark.
Equally Fast endured a fairly abject 2017 but he ran a cracker in defeat on return from a 242-break and his first start for Ron Harris. Understandably fresh after the absence and over a trip further than his best, he was very keen early in the race but despite taking a fierce hold he was only beaten by 1.25 lengths and in a good time for the grade.
Equally Fast’s four career wins have come over the minimum trip and he reverts to 5f in the 3.15 Lingfield. He’s tumbled down the weights since winning off 83 and the change of yard could see him return to the winner’s enclosure off a lenient mark of 62.
