Wolverhampton Tip: Chocco Star

Fastest closer by 0.3s when making eye-catching progress from rear at Kempton. Adjusted speed rating of 56 good enough to win in this grade and lightly raced filly has potential.

Chocco Star doesn’t have many miles on the clock and is at least a couple of points bigger than she should be for the 3.45 Wolverhampton. She was only beaten half a length at Kempton on her debut for Chelsea Banham, a fine performance given not much went right.

Slowly into stride and bumped she found herself in rear, the worse place to be around Kempton’s sharp 5f track. To her credit she made good progress in the homestretch and might have won in another 100 yards. Her closing sectional of 34.7s was the fastest in the race by 0.3s and she earned an adjusted speed rating of 56.

She is good enough to win in this grade, is more likely to prefer Wolverhampton’s track and this is only her 8th start.
