11th Jan 2021 | Horse Racing | 6.15 Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton: The Daley Express
Been finishing strongly from off the pace (from wide draws) and has won off higher marks in the past. Record in class 4 handicaps is 5/20 and should be shorter in the betting.
It’s going to a career best (based on official ratings) for several of these to win the 6.15 Wolverhampton. The likes of Lihou, Jack The Truth and Mutabaahy have all impressed on the clock of late but not consistently enough to trust them with my money.
The Daley Express has won at this level and off a higher mark and deserves to be a bit shorter in the betting. Last winter he was operating at a higher level than this but hamstrung by a marking the the high 80s. He has worked himself down to a more manageable mark and his last two efforts over course and distance have been encouraging.
Each time he’s made good progress from off the pace, having also to contend with wide draws. Stall 7 is the lowest he’s been drawn at Wolverhampton for a while and he should get the strong pace he enjoys. It wouldn’t be a shock if he won.
