Wolverhampton: Sovereign Prince
Split Group 3 runner-up and next time out winner, when second at Nottingham. Time of the race backs up collateral form and nothing else in line-up has shown anything like his level of form.
Slim pickings on offer but Sovereign Prince should get the job done at Wolverhampton. Granted he’s a short price but he’s the sort of horse who could go off at 1/3.
He’s run some nice races this term, the best of which was a second place to the subsequent Group 3 runner-up Wings Of War. The third horse, Jazz Club has come out and won nicely since and those three were well clear of the rest.
The speed rating was good, the collateral form excellent and there’s not much else in this race to get excited about.
