Windsor Tip: Midsummer Knight
Placed 8 times in 13 starts and shaped well over 6f at Newmarket before tiring at finish. Drops down to 5f and won last time he raced over this trip.
The 4.50 Windsor is a good quality race and although Koditime will be well fancied he won’t find things easy. Midsummer Knight should be winning a race on turf off 80 and although this is a competitive race, he’s shown some quality.
Since moving to Karl Burk, Midsummer Knight’s record over 5f is 22421 and his last win over the minimum trip came in a good time for the grade; the 3-year-old earned an adjusted speed rating of 87.
Last time out at Newmarket, Midsummer Knight was upped in grade and was only beaten a length despite tiring over a sixth furlong; he should be comfortable back down in trip
