Looked a smart sprinter on the all-weather, winning five times and clocking some seriously fast sectionals.
Pretend sidestepped recent engagements in the Temple Stakes and the Achilles Stakes but he’s not had long to wait for an opportunity to display his talent.
The 4-year-old was one of the star performers on the all-weather during the winter. He ran a series of blistering sectionals, including a 21.49s splint on the 14 March.
He is a horse with a serious turn of foot and after his victory on Good Friday I marked him down as a potential Group 1 winner, with the King’s Stand the obvious target.
If he is as good as I think he is the 7.25 Windsor, a Listed contest, should be easy pickings
