Windsor Tips: Marjong
Undone by the steady gallop on her last two starts but has plenty of ability and first time hood could make the difference.
Marjong looks overpriced at 8/1 on her return to turf in the 3.00 Windsor.
This lightly raced filly has run well on her last two starts at Kempton despite a steady pace. As a hold-up horse she needs the leaders to tire but her last two races have been characterised by finishing speeds of 106.6% and 105.9%, which means the leaders have been accelerating in the final 3f.
Turf races are generally more strongly run and that should suit her this afternoon.
Marjong is adaptable with regards going, having finished second on soft and good to firm ground.
A first time hood might also bring about some improvement and at 8/1 (Bet365) she is a good bet.
