We Have A Dream On The Comeback

Could not sustain the strong gallop at Chelmsford last time, understandable on his return from an 18-month layoff. Should come on for the run.

The 4.35 Kempton is a poor race but it gives We Have A Dream and opportunity to capitalise on his career low mark.

Once a useful class 4 sprinter, he has struggled in recent times. Since moving to Stephen Arnold he’s not been able to recreate anything near his best form and his appearance at Chelmsford last month was his first outing in 18 months.

Under the circumstances, he did extremely well to finish third. He tracked a strong gallop but understandably faded in the final 3f as his lack of race sharpness told.

I suspect he’s been sidelined with injury problems but if they have been solved in the intervening 18 months, and he showed a spark at Chelmsford, then he could be better than this lot.

All his winning has come at 6f but he ran his best race for connections over 5f at Lingfield. In a poor race, he might just have too much ability at 10/1 (Betfair Sportsbook) regardless of the trip.
