Watch Out For Beckett’s 3-Year-Olds

Ralph Beckett has a tremendous 42% strike-rate (14-33) with his 3-year-olds at Chepstow and shows a level stakes profit over the last five seasons.

He runs Desdichado in the 4.40 contest and is comfortably the least exposed horse in the line-up.

Desdichado won on his second career start at Ffos Las in heavy ground last month, therefore soft conditions shouldn’t inconvenience him.

The handicapper has given him an opening mark of 80 but that could be lenient considering the Racing Post gave him a mark of 85 for that victory and he is almost certain to improve.
