Waady Waiting For
Three-year-olds have won six of the last ten renewals and Waady also has the benefit of a good draw.
The Coral Charge (2.00 Sandown) has exhibited a number of biases of the years that we can exploit.
Firstly, the 5f track at Sandown has a strong draw bias with low numbers (stalls 1-4) enjoying an advantage over the rest of the field.
Secondly, 3-year-olds have an excellent record in the race. Over the past 10 years there have been six winning 3-year-olds (60%) despite the age group just making up 25% (24/97) of the total runners.
Waady fulfils both criteria. He is a 3-year-old and is drawn in stall 2, after accounting for the non-runners.
In a further boost to his credentials, he is a three-time course and distance winner, with his last victory being impressive both visually and on the clock. At 9/4 (Skybet) he will take some beating.
