US Navy Seal Has Fibresand Pedigree

Southwell Tips: US Navy Seal Has Fibresand Pedigree

American pedigree should mean he is suited to the Fibresand and his half-brother won on the surface in France.

I’ve been waiting to back US Navy Seal on the Fibresand all winter and although he races off a career high mark of 84 he is unexposed on the surface.

His last visit to Southwell was a disaster; he unseated George Baker at the start but I’m willing to forgive one misdemeanour.

The key to the horse could be his US pedigree. His sire War Front was high class on dirt and our nearest equivalent is the deep Fibresand surface at Southwell.

More pertinently War Front sired a horse (War Pact) that won on the French Fibresand at Cagnes-sur-Mer. Although this is a sample size of one horse, it could be instructive. There is a chance US Navy Seal could be a Fibresand specialist and it is worth taking the risk now before everyone finds out.
