Tryster All-Weather Beast
Unbeaten in five starts on the all-weather and showed a devastating closing burst to win on Good Friday.
The 7.15 Chelmsford was shaping up to be an absolute cracker with Royal Ascot winner and Juddmonte fourth Time Test taking on last season’s best all-weather horse Tryster, but he is now a non-runner.
Regular readers will know I’m a huge fan of the Godolphin horse. Unfortunately, he couldn’t transfer his synthetic form to grass but he’s still unbeaten on the all-weather and a superstar in my eyes.
On Good Friday he ran an eye-wateringly fast 20.97s closing sectional at Lingfield, the fastest closing 2f ever recorded at the track.
Even in this elevated company I doubt there is a horse that can match his turn of foot, apart from perhaps Time Test.
