Topham Chase Tip: Mystifiable
Finished fourth in the Grand Sefton getting tired in the heavy ground. Slips in off a lightweight and ground not as testing.
Connections of Mystifiable have probably targeted this race since his fourth place in the Grand Sefton in December and can be rewarded for their patience. Well fancied for the race he was sent off at 8/1 and went well for a long way before tiring in the heavy ground.
There was nothing wrong with that performance and although this is much more competitive, he is twice the price. Last time out he finished a good third at Newbury, just being out-sprinted from 2 out over a trip short of his best.
He’s got a very manageable 10-0 on his back and with Paddy Brennan aboard, granted some luck, he should go close.
