Tony Carroll’s Form Improving

Kempton Tips: Saint Pois

Tony Carroll has had a quiet winter by his standards but his horses are running better and Saint Pois has plenty of ability.

It’s been a quiet winter for Tony Carroll on the all-weather but the yard seem to have turned the corner with four winners in the last fortnight, before that he’d only sent out five winners since the start of October.

Saint Pois has waited patiently on the sidelines during the quiet spell but showed ability when finishing second behind Gentlemen on his first start in three months.

In defeat he ran a sectional adjusted speed rating of 78, which is good enough to win a class 4 handicap especially off a mark of 73.

When trained in France he won a couple of good handicaps on the all-weather at Deauville and he could prove a useful horse on the synthetic tracks of England.
