Thirsk Tips: Mabo
Ran a good adjusted speed rating of 77 on debut. Should come on for the run especially on better ground over a furlong farther.
Mabo carries the best recent result into the 2.00 Thirsk and although that helps make him favourite he ran better than the bare form.
After a sluggish start he finished his race very strongly to justify the market support that preceded the race. There were a couple of useful horses ahead of him but in defeat he ran an impressive pace adjusted speed rating of 77.
That should be good enough to win a maiden and on better ground over a furlong more, conditions look ideal.
