Thirsk Tip: Oldjoesaid

Record with cut in the ground is 5-25 and he recently went close at Chester.

The 4.45 Thirsk brings the curtain down on the career of Tax Free. He’s been a wonderful sprinter through the years but at the ripe old age of 12, it’s asking a lot for him to win on soft ground for the first time.

Oldjoesaid is another that falls into the veteran category but he’s been showing less signs of a decline.

Well suited by cut in the ground his record on good to soft or softer is 5-25 (7 placed efforts) whereas on quicker going it is 3-48 (8 placed).

Three starts back he was beaten by a short-head in the same grade at Chester and he should go close again at 11/1 (William Hill).
