Taajub Primed For Victory
Won the race two years ago and has been running well in a higher grade over the wrong trip.
A bit of a plot has been developing with Taajub and I’d be surprised if he didn’t go very close in the 5.10 Lingfield.
It is a race he won two years ago and having slipped down the handicap he looks primed to win.
Essentially a 5f horse, Taajub ran two eye-catching races over an unsuitable 6f. He wasn’t beaten far in either race and Shane Kelly wasn’t hard on the horse when his chances of winning had gone.
I expect that was an exercise in getting the horse fit and lowering his handicap mark. With both objectives secured, he can win over his optimal trip at his favourite track.
