Swendab Down In Grade
The weakest race he has encountered all summer and his speed ratings are good enough to win at this level.
The 3.10 Bath is a low-grade handicap but these kind of races afford horses a chance to get back into the winner’s circle and the drop in class is exactly what Swendab needs.
The 7-year-old has been running well recently without threatening to win. He earned reasonable speed ratings in defeat at Salisbury and Newbury but the class 4/5 opposition were simply too good for him.
This afternoon is his easiest task in a while and with Luke Morris taking the ride, rather than the apprentice who regularly rides him, it is a signal of intent. At 12/1 (Bet365) he is cracking value.
