Sent of favourite at Beverley three weeks ago, he trailed in 9.5 lengths behind the winner, however there were mitigating circumstances. The going was heavy and he contested a strong early gallop.
His running style combined with taxing conditions meant he finished the race tired, exacerbating the margin of defeat.
He is better judged on his previous efforts this year and that makes him better than a 7/1 (Bet365) chance.
