Finished sixth in the race last year and has followed a similar preparation, running well at Ascot three weeks ago.
Discussiontofollow finished a slightly unlucky sixth in last year’s Stewards’ Cup (3.45 Goodwood) and looks primed for another big run.
Mike Murphy has followed the same route as 12 months ago, with a prep race over 5f at Ascot. That trip proved a bit sharp but he still ran the fastest closing sectional in a race that was run at a slower pace than ideal.
Discussiontofollow rarely runs a bad race (never finished worse than sixth) and although his mark has crept up slightly he should still be improving as a five-year-old.
