Start Spring Loaded

Spring Loaded has been a revelation on the all-weather this winter but his narrow margins of victory means the handicapper still hasn’t caught up with him.

His record on the all-weather since October reads 120111 but take out his runs at Chelmsford and it becomes 1111.

Last time out he scrambled home by a head at Lingfield but was far better than the winning margin. He was held-up in a steadily run contest (finishing speed 107.4%) and needed a blistering 21.21s sectional to get up on the line. The race couldn’t have panned out much worse but he still won.

Victory in adversity takes some class and the handicapper has only upped him 3lbs.
