Sprint Cup: Dream Of Dreams
Should be in the mix based on unlucky second at Royal Ascot. No show at Newmarket but has run poorly there before. Overall form this season has been excellent & previous course and distance winner.
The 6f sprinters have been taking it in turn to beat each other this season and that is reflected in a wide open betting market. The big prizes have been shared around and Dream Of Dream deserves his day in the sun. He was desperately unlucky when beaten a head in the Diamond Jubilee, his jockey leaving him with too much ground to make up on Blue Point.
Newmarket was a disappointment but he’s run more poor races at the track than good ones and perhaps it just doesn’t suit. A flat track is more to his liking and he’s won over course and distance before. Cut in the ground isn’t a concern either and although that defeat at Ascot still rankles, something around the 8/1 mark is fair compensation.
