Southwell Tip: Sea Ess Seas

Unexposed 3-year-old who has shown some ability. Well drawn and has run well over the minimum trip before.

The 3.00 Southwell is an odd race because it’s full of veterans or badly handicapped horses and neither group appeal. Sea Ess Seas is the exception. He is the only 3-year-old in the field and this is just his seventh start. More than anything else he is open to improvement.

Since returning from wind surgery in February he’s finished 636 but the best of those results came on (until now) his only run over the minimum trip. Drawn in stall 1 he has the option of coming down the centre of the track and although this is his first run on Fibresand we don’t if he doesn’t handle it yet.

There is enough reason for optimism and his price is worth the risk.
