Southwell Racing Tips: Lindoro
Won the race last year and looking dangerously well-handicapped again.
Lindoro ran a wretched race last time out and having tipped him he made me look rather foolish. I’m not one to be put off easily and i’m attempting to recoup those losses in the 5.10 Southwell.
Racing off a mark of 56, only once has Lindoro been rated any lower. That was in this race last year, which he happened to win off a mark of 53. There comes a time when a horse becomes so well-handicapped that he is impossible to ignore.
Many will be put off by his last run; he fell out of the stalls and made little headway. It wasn’t encouraging, but he won this race last year after being pulled-up in a two-mile novices’ hurdle. If anything his recent run is an improvement!
I concede that Lindoro is an inconsistent horse and probably only he knows if he will win or not. However, at odds of 10/1 (Betfred) it is worth the gamble that he is on a going day.
