Second Time Lucky For Overrider
Finished a good second last week, pulling four lengths clear of the third horse. Goes in the same grade again.
Overrider was almost a big winner for us last week and he must be given a second chance in the 7.15 Wolverhampton.
The 6-year-old is certainly no world beater but he has a bit of ability, which goes a long way in this grade.
Last week he was given an enterprising ride by Callum Shepherd, making a big move for home 3f out. With a furlong to go, he was still in the lead but he couldn’t fight off the lightly raced On A Whim.
Nevertheless, Overrider finished four lengths ahead of the third horse and if he’d been racing over a furlong shorter, as he is tonight, he may well have won.
From stall three he can be ridden prominently and with nothing unexposed in the line-up this time he can win at 5/1 (William Hill).
