Santefisio Due A Change Of Luck
Hasn’t had the rub of the green this season but running well and should get the strong pace he needs.
Santefisio has been knocking on the door in big handicaps this season and looks good value in the Bunbury Cup consolation race (4.55 Newmarket).
The 9-year-old started the turf season well, with a luckless fourth at Newbury in April. On his next start at Newmarket he couldn’t make any headway on a day when the track suited front-runners.
It was a similar story at Sandown but this time the strong pace he needs didn’t materialise and he finished 8/12 but still managed the second fastest closing sectional of the race.
Things almost dropped his way at Ayr last time out, but he was beaten a length, again leaving himself too much to do.
Santefisio needs the leaders to come back to him but in a 19-runner race, he should get the strong pace he craves. At 14/1 (Bet365) he is a good bet.
