Sandown Tips: Naseem
Ran a fast sectional and quick time from a wide draw at Chelmsford and the form has been franked.
Naseem is one of the horses I’ve been looking forward to most this turf season and the handicapper has taken a massive chance with a rating of 90.
Last time out at Chelmsford he was impressive, showing good speed to get a lead from stall 16 and then progressively turning up the heat.
Having set a solid gallop, Naseem still had plenty in reserve to accelerate away from the pack with the fastest closing sectional in the race by 0.43s. Adjusting for pace I gave him a big adjusted speed rating of 91, excellent for a juvenile having only his second start.
The form has been franked with the second, fifth, seventh and tenth horse all winning next time out. Naseem could be set for a big season.
