Sandown Tip: Orlaith

There don’t appear to be any superstars in the 2.40 Sandown but Orlaith is better than her price suggests. She was a rapid improver for Iain Jardine last season until the autumn when she found 6f on soft ground a stretch too far. On her last start at Newmarket she was still travelling strongly with a furlong to go and a step back in trip is in her favour.

She beat Al Raya fair and square at Newbury last August and there is no obvious reason why the form will be reversed. On that run alone she should be a shorter price.
