Salisbury: Mystical Applause

Finished a good fourth at Leicester on debut. Speed figure was decent and the three who finished ahead of him were much more experienced. Stable in cracking form and showed promise.

Harry Eustace has been operating at above at 20% strike rate for the past couple of months and has another live contender in the shape of Mystical Applause. He finished fourth on debut at Leicester and although well beaten by the battle-hardened (and useful) Blatant he was probably the best of the rest, especially when you consider he was the least experienced runner of the top-4.

Hayley Turner didn’t give the colt a hard time but he finished strongly under hands and heels and probably would have been even closer if granted a clear passage in the final 100 yards. He earned a good speed rating in defeat and with plenty of obvious upside, he should go well.
