Wokingham Tips: Absolutely So
Loves chasing a strong pace and the fact he has won over 7f is a big advantage in this cavalry charge.
The Wokingham Handicap (5.00) is a devilishly difficult race to win but I’m very taken with the chances of Absolutely So.
He placed twice in class 2 handicaps on the all-weather this winter both times beaten by a lack of pace rather than a lack of ability.
On his last start he got the strong gallop he craves and romped home by 3.25 lengths in a 7f race at Goodwood.
I always like a Wokingham horse to be proven over further because the strong pace in the race brings stamina into play more than any other sprint on the racing calendar.
All weather horses often transfer their form to Ascot and Absolutely So looks a cracking bet at 14/1 (William Hill).
