Windsor Castle Stakes: Full Intention
Only beaten two lengths by Mehmas when setting strong pace from wide draw at Chester. Could be well drawn against the stand’s rail.
Full Intention couldn’t live with Mehmas (second favourite for the Coventry) at Chester last time out but wasn’t disgraced in third. From the widest draw, he set a strong pace with Madam Dancelot and had nothing left at this finish.
Although still a maiden he’s run two good races, earning respectable adjusted speed ratings of 77-76. He obviously will need to improve to win at Royal Ascot but he’s still very lightly raced.
The positives are that he has run well on soft ground and also has the stand’s rail to run against. The GoingStick report suggests he might be on the quicker part of the track (6.7 stand’s side and far side but 6.5 centre) and has the early pace to take advantage of the draw.
At 40/1 he is worth a small wager with Paddy Power going 1/5 odds for a top-4 finish.
